- About the artwork – Part of a local series of works made in South Derbyshire and Staffordshire near my hometown of Burton Upon Trent. During the lockdown summer of 2020/21, I made many drawings of local walks with a mix of urban and rural suggested landscapes. This composition features a semi-abstracted road influenced by several important artist and artworks that have influenced my practice; most notably Richard Diebenkorn and ‘Cityscape 1‘.
