• About the artwork – Taken from a series of drawings and colour studies made whilst in the Southern New Zealand, in Otago. This painting was taken from several drawings and sketches made on the road. Influenced particularly by certain works that Richard Diebenkorn made of San Francisco in the 1960’s- abstracting and rendering down details of buildings and natural forms. Part of a larger series of work exploring place entitled ‘In Transit’.
