- About the artwork – I have always be interested in cityscapes, and San Francisco in the perfect place to create compositions that contain many of the key elements that I am attracted too such as contrast, shadows, warm colours, shapes and leading lines. These particular small studies were made with the intention, or possibility of creating larger works from what I learnt here. This artwork was part of another small series- with blue being a more prominent colour explored in the shadowed areas, whilst others were made to experiment working on canvas, or adjusting certain aspects of the composition.
