- About the artwork – I have always be interested in cityscapes, and San Francisco in the perfect place to create compositions that contain many of the key elements that I am attracted too such as contrast, shadows, warm colours, shapes and leading lines. The influence of Bay area artists on my practice also made it an artistic pilgrimage for me, and a visit to the SFMOMA (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) was certainly on my bucket list! From the top floor a did a number of sketches, including some of the famous Transamerica Pyramid- a 48-story futurist skyscraper and the second tallest building in the San Francisco skyline.
