- About the artwork – This artwork is part of a small series of works made from sketches taken in New York in the summer of 2022. In particular, I made many studies around the Queensboro Bridge and the North East Side. I was attracted to this composition because of the perspective, shade, light, contrast- and a general balance between urban and rural. It also twinned with a second study of a similar, but smaller composition- ‘New York (60th Street 2)’
