- About the artwork – Whilst teaching several workshops in Truro (south of Glasgow), I spent time in the beautiful area around Dumfries & Galloway- the first area of Scotland entered from England. Fortunately the good weather and light allowed for lots of sketching, and I was drawn here to the balance of structure and organic forms that combine to create this composition of Lochrutton Church- an ancient chapel not far from a stone circle which all added to the deep history of the place.
