- About the artwork – Part of a series of works made whilst living and working in South Derbyshire as an art teacher/ artist-in-residence at Repton School. During the lockdown summer of 2020 I made many drawings of local walks with a mix of urban and rural suggested landscapes. This composition features a semi-abstracted path leading to the small village of Milton featuring golden fields and clear blue skies of a late summer evening. This was also made during the lockdown period in mid 2020 where I did a lot of walking! I feel that the solitary feel to this painting is certainly reflective of that time.
