- About the artwork – I have always be interested in cityscapes, and San Francisco in the perfect place to create compositions that contain many of the key elements that I am attracted to such as contrast, shadows, warm colours, shapes and leading lines. The influence of Bay area artists on my practice also made it an artistic pilgrimage for me, and the exploration and inclusion here of interesting shapes and shadows in the foreground make the iconic background of the bay area and iconic Alcatraz stand out.
