- About the artwork – This composition was taken from sketches made in New York whilst exploring the High Line- an elevated railway transformed into a public park on Manhattan’s West Side. I did lots of small scale thumbnail studies, and this scene is the view towards one of the streets along New York’s west side. The famed architecture of the apartment blocks are apparent here plus the red brick buildings in the distance.
