- About the artwork – In this semi-abstract oil painting, I have aimed to infuse the dynamic essence of San Francisco. This composition has been visited several times in my practice, with sketches made of the iconic views from the city and bay towards Coit Tower- an iconic monument in the city. The artwork itself is an oil on canvas study which varies from my usual work on board. It depicts the view towards the tower and onwards towards to hills of California and the greater Bay Area- telegraph lines intersect, and suggestions of typical San Francisco buildings edge into the composition.
