- About the artwork – I have always be interested in cityscapes, and San Francisco in the perfect place to create compositions that contain many of the key elements that I am attracted too such as contrast, shadows, warm colours, shapes and leading lines. The influence of Bay area artists on my practice also made it an artistic pilgrimage for me and this study in particular is slightly different to my normal compositions in that the main focus is not the strong light. Made on a more overcast day- the view of the bridge can be seen in the distance.
