- About the artwork – This artwork is part of a larger series of studies taken from drawings made on location in California. I have always be interested in cityscapes, and San Francisco in the perfect place to create compostions that contain many of the key elements that I am attracted too such as contrast, shadows, warm colours, shapes and leading lines. The influence of Bay area artists on my practice also made it an artistic pilgramge for me. San Francisco 18 is closely linked to San Francisco 11.
