- About the artwork – This painting was taken from a series of drawings and colour studies made in West Auckland in New Zealand. At the time, I was completing an art residency at Corban Estates Art Centre. A former vineyard, this particular composition is of part of that estate now containing housing estates. I was attracted in this image to the bright pink tiled driveway that drew the eye in to the details in the background. The heat and exotic nature is reflected by the palm tree and warm blue skies.
