• About the artwork – Part of a series of work made during from drawings taken on location in Canada whilst travelling through the Rockies from Calgary to Vancouver. This composition was made in the town of Field in the Yoho National Park where I remember being obsessed by the criss-crossing of telegraph poles that intersected every composition that I sketched- it being something that is not often seen in the UK. The late evening light framed the mountains that surrounded us from every angle, and the diffused light was from several forest fires nearby.

This artwork is currently available through the Watts Contemporary Gallery in Guildford until April 2022.
