Expressed through bold, gestural layers of oil paint, it captures the intense light, colour and energy of the place. Deep phthalo blue contrasts with warm ochres, yellows and reds, creating a sense of heat and atmosphere.
Strong receding lines draw the eye through the urban landscape, while reflections, shadows, trees and buildings emerge through energetic, expressive brushwork.
