- About the artwork – This artwork is part of a small series of interiors created from various sources, including sketches from studio still life studies and interiors from previous workshops. I also drew inspiration from the works of Richard Diebenkorn and Mike Hall, the latter of whom I discovered at a recent exhibition. My goal is to depict the landscape and hillside townscape in a suggestive, unrendered manner that hints at the buildings, and I enjoyed contrasting the warm tones of the rooftops with the cool blue interiors.
