- About the artwork – This artwork is part of a small series of works made from sketches taken in New York in the summer of 2022. In particular, I made many studies around the the North East Side, Hell’s Kitchen and Chelsea. I was attracted to this composition because of the perspective, shade, light, contrast- and a general balance between urban and rural, but also here because of the strong light and perspective that is suggested along the road and off towards the city.
