- About the artwork – This composition was taken from sketches made in New York whilst exploring the High Line- an elevated railway transformed into a public park on Manhattan’s West Side. I did lots of small scale thumbnail studies, and this scene featured in one of them from near the Whitney Museum, a place that I was extremely excited to visit to see some Edward Hoppers!
