- About the artwork – Taken from a series and colour studies made around my local area in Derbyshire, central England- this piece depicts the entering of a village combining elements of strong light and composition that is favored by myself when exploring a place. This composition features a semi-abstracted road leading to the small village of Ticknall featuring golden fields and clear blue skies of a late summer afternoon. It is also reminiscent of a long line of studies
that I have made over the years right back to the first painting that I sold in this very village at a small art show in 2010!
