- About the artwork – Taken from drawings and studies made in the whilst in the New Plymouth region of New Zealand. I spent a couple of days in the small town, also spending my 30th here in 2019.
The compositon is typical of my style- finding shapes and geomtry in the landscape. especially suburban areas. It also references back to a number of my studies from years gone by, on my art degree where I was trying to find a fusion between Richard Diebenkorn (Cityscape 1 in particular), and Edward Hopper studies. This artwork shows that exploration well.
